Everything in this world has a beginning and in many cases an ending too. When I started blogging, about two years ago, there was no way that I could possibly imagine the tasks that lay ahead.

Before I start writing endless lines of boring notes, tips and odd tricks I would like to say one thing. There is a considerable amount of money to be made by blogging, the hard part is learning the process behind the success. I make a considerable amount of money on the web and the one thing I’ve learnt over this time is that all the information I ever needed to acquire was obtainable free of charge on the internet. Buy all the eBooks your heart desires, everything is free if you take the time to search.

Now to for the endless lines of boring information. Don’t worry, I ‘m not one to right sermons so this won’t take long. The title of this post is Understand the principals. This basically means that you should understand the core of blogging before rushing in to all the other useless substance, like making money or adding the hideous banner ads to the sidebar. Know where you stand and learn the few bases that are required to achieving a successful blog.

To make things easier I’ve listed a few points I think you should take into consideration.

1 – Take a step at a time
2 – Most People know more about blogging than you do
3 – Selling ice to Eskimos is a tricky business
4 – Banner ads suck
5 – Adsense won’t make you rich
6 – Success is in love with success
7 – Stay on the ball

I know these short titles sound extremely vague and somewhat unrelated but trust me, there is a fine line uniting them all. During the next few days I’m going to explain in detail each of these steps and hopefully when we get to number 10 you would have gained all the tools needed to make it big on the blogosphere.
