Joe
Thanks for the comment. And I agree there is a lot of information packed into this post. I don't think that making a post less informative and detailed is necessarily the way to be a 'better writer' as you say. Maybe if the article is too detailed you might need to take more time to read and digest it. I will admit the article is not of a short length that you could skim through quickly. But this is my style. I want to go into this subject in depth, this is what makes this post unique from any other article floating about on this subject.

by Joe - I had a hard time understand your experiment. Too much information packed in. I say this so you can be a better writer. I wish i could learn more from your article. However, thanks for the info. though

I think it's better in general to submit to EzineArticles first, then to any other article directories you may want to use. That's been my experience, anyway.

Now there are many techniques you can use to improve the CTR of your resource box and I'm going to reveal of one the techniques that I use in this article. And I call it the 'click here' technique. Here's what you can do, instead of writing the same old 'Visit my site for more information on blah blah blah..', you can just use this 'Click Here To Continue...'.

You see, in ad copywriting, the best ads are usually the ones that don't actually look like an ad. With this technique you're basically creating a cliffhanger so that people would click on the link to continue reading. You go under the radar by not making your message sound like an obvious advertisement.

Good information, I'll be using iSnare for my needs from now on because my own studies have had similar results but for a free service Ezine is still the king. Ezine articles will outrank others based on their own merit, but the distribution web is much larger with iSnare.

I think the power in article marketing is in the traffic it drives as well as the backlinks. The articles may end up in the supps. But you only need one big site with tens of thousands of visitors a day to pick up your article and use it on their site as content with your author bio box to drive large amounts of visitors to your author box links daily.
' shoot a few links at each article '
This is a good idea, linking to your article on the main article directories site with a few backlinks is always good to keep your article alive on the directory site. Therefore giving your article more chance of being found by publishers looking for that type of content within article directories.

It appears that the best way to go about this is to add it to EzineArticles first, and then hit iSnare with your article. Correct?

Boost your blog traffic with products like articlewebtraffic.com...
Some plr articles packs around have very specific niche articles in them which is excellent to build on for your article submissions.

I am not sure what your experiment means...the data is not very relevant for me.
A real test would be to use 2 different articles and measure how much traffic and how much it helped ranking for 2 different keywords. I don't know if you know this, but more than 80-90% of the articles submitted to an article directory will get in the supplemental index and carry no link power over time.
So I suggest you to submit only to a few big directories and shoot a few links at each article to keep the article in the main index and pass some power to your links.
Cheers,
