iSnare Article Distribution 10 Day Results
8 Comments Published April 17th, 2011 in Articles, Reviews, marketing
After highlighting the various methods of Article Distribution we have some results from an article submitted to iSnare 10 days ago. The article was a travel destination related article and we used iSnare’s $2 distribution service that claims to distribute articles to over 40,000 publishers. We have produced screenshots of results found for the article title in search engines, searched for enclosed in quotes. Google, Yahoo and MSN search engines have been used to check the results of this iSnare article distribution experiment. As well as just checking for instances of the article title in the major search engines results pages we have delved a little deeper and actually investigated some of the sites that have picked up the distributed article. We were looking for cases of the article republished without our links and resource box as well as the quality of the sites our article ended up posted to.
iSnare Article 10 day Results in Google Search
Just 10 days after submitting our article to iSnare for the $2 distribution Google shows 897 results for the article title searched for enclosed in quotes. The first result is an iSnare url in Google’s search with the url being the direct url to our article page on the iSnare site. After the second result which is another article type directory site that has syndicated the article comes a holiday related blogspot blog. At first it seems like a good result, a PR4 blogspot blog in the same niche has published the article. But this blogspot blogger has republished our article without our Resource Bio Box and therefore we gain no live links from this website. With no contact information on this blogspot blog we left a comment on the copy of our article notifying the blogger that the article required the Author Bio Resource box to be published with the article. We will see if this comment persuades the blogger to include our Author Resource Box and links with the republished article. Apart from this blogger most of the other sites that have included the article seem to have kept the Author Resource Box included with the article and published the live links. It is good to note that there seems to be a good mixture of holiday, travel and other related websites republishing the article as well as the many expected general article directories. The first few pages of Google results seem to be a fairly even mix of sites related to the articles niche and article directory type sites.

EzineArticles Article Submission Case Study 10 day Results
12 Comments Published April 8th, 2011 in Articles, marketingWe recently reviewed the results of a paid article submission to iSnare and the search engine results for the article after 10 days. As part of our article marketing strategy test we have also made a case study of an article submitted via the free article submission website EzineArticles. Here we will investigate the results in the various search engines for the articles title (searched for enclosed in quotes) 10 days after the article was accepted by Ezine Articles and compare with our iSnare findings.. We have checked for instances of the article title in the major search engines Google, Yahoo and MSN, taking a screenshot of each to analyse during our article submission case study. An excellent feature of EzineArticle’s service is that Authors get detailed statistics about their articles in the Author control panel area of the site. You can see how many times your article was viewed on the site, how many times your links were clicked, and other information regarding the distribution of your articles. The statistics available to Authors on iSnare are much more basic and just indicate the number of times your article has been viewed on iSnare.com.Google 10 day Results for EzineArticles Submission Case Study
10 days after the Free submission of the article to EzineArticles.com our article is showing 147 results for the specific article title searched for enclosed in quotes. This is less Google results than the iSnare article distribution case study had in Google’s serp’s after 10 days, but still a good result for a Free article service. The article submitted to EzineArticles was related to the ‘Bollywood Stars’ niche so any sites related to Bollywood, Movies, Actors, Television or a similar niche should be helpful. The first results shown in Google are for the article page on EzineArticles.com which is to be expected, then follows some sites related to the niche of the article. Some of the sites that have republished the article are ‘Bestdesi’ website, a television related site, a blog search engine type site and some other sites related to the general niche of the article. Unlike the iSnare article distribution this submission has not ended up with many other general article directory sites picking up the article after a period of 10 days. So the sites have republished the article are mainly related to the subject niche of the article. Most of the sites seem to have republished the article complete with the Author Resource Box intact and our links live, although one site shown was clearly a sblog (spam web log site) which typically didn’t provide any links back to our site. One site that we checked seems to have stripped out two of our links from the Author Bio Resource Box but left one of our links live with anchor text, so at least we still have one back link from that site. The Google Page Rank of the homepage’s of two of the sites that republished our article was PR2, one was PR3 and others didn’t have any Google PageRank. A couple of the sites shown in the Google results have only republished the title of the article and an excerpt of the article with a link back to the articles page on EzineArticles.com. Although the Google results show 147 results for the article title it seems that after search engine results page 4 many of the results are duplicates of domains such as ezinearticles.com with different url extensions.
MSN Results for Ezine Article Submission after 10 days
As with our paid article submission test MSN has shown the lowest results for the article title searched for enclosed in quotes with only 5 results coming up. But even compared to the MSN search results from the paid article submission case study which showed 90 results a measly 5 results does seem quite low. Out of the 5 results MSN has come up with, the first 4 are the same as Google showed, with 2 listings for ezinearticles.com and 2 listings for the ‘Bestdesi’ site related to the article niche. The 5th and last result on MSN’s search page is for a small search engine type site that seems to have indexed the article in some way. So this method of free article submission doesn’t seem to get indexed as well as iSnare submissions, not with MSN search engine anyway.
Results in Yahoo for EzineArticles.com Article Submission after 10 days
For the title of our article searched for in Yahoo! (enclosed in quotes) the Yahoo search engine returned 670 results.

Over the next few weeks we will be testing the marketing strategy of Article Submission with various websites. There are many ways to go about submitting your articles in an attempt to gain some valuable backlinks and an increase in traffic to your website. Article distribution can be accomplished by manually submitting to free directories, via automated submission scripts, through paid article directories or by the many other submission methods. We will be researching various ways of submitting articles to different directories and article sites in an attempt to find the most cost effective way to gain traffic and links through article submissions. Including a paid submission through iSnare with distribution results, as well as a free article submission via ezinearticles. We have an example of an iSnare article submission case study that was made via the article directory iSnare during 2007 and the results in Google, MSN and Yahoo for the articles distribution.
The art of submitting articles can be a complicated one, and every publisher seems to have their own unique strategy. The basic principal is to write a unique article related to the website you are promoting, usually of between 400 - 700 words (we recommend 500 words as some article directories only accept articles of 500 words or longer). Don’t worry if you cannot write your own articles, there are many freelance article writers available on sites such as freelancewriting.com, Digital Points Content Creation Forum and other Webmaster forums. The rate for a 500 word article on practically any subject can vary from around $5 to $25 so feel free to shop around for price. Be carefull with very low priced writers though as the finished article may be of low quality with bad punctuation and grammar. It may be worth the few extra Dollars to hire a professsional writer making sure English is their first language. Once you have your article written you need to formulate your Author Resource box, this is the section where you can add your links.
The Author Resource box or Author Bio box is the section of text at the very end of articles where you are allowed to include html links. Most article submission sites will only allow you to place links and promotional material in your Author Resource box, not in the main article body.
Article Distribution Statistics EzineArticles.com Report
4 Comments Published January 15th, 2011 in Articles, marketingOur recent overview of article marketing has helped highlight the differences between some of the article submission services and sites available. One of the many differences between these services is the Author Resources or Article Manager Control Panels and their various functions. This is the area for the Authors on the article sites to login and manage their submitted articles. Ezinearticles.com offers detailed statistics about your approved articles distribution, keyword density and viewing figures. Whereas the paid article distribution service iSnare just gives you the basic stats regarding how many views your article has gotten on their website.

The fully featured Author Manager article stats control panel on EzineArticles includes the following useful statistics about each of your approved articles.Article Views :- Shows the amount of views your article has received on the EzineArticles site.

Case Study of an iSnare Article Submission
7 Comments Published January 11th, 2011 in Articles, Reviews, marketingCase study results of an article submission through www.iSnare.com that was made in early 2007 with distribution results. The article directory iSnare.com offers article writers the option to submit their article for free to the directory or alternatively they offer a $2 paid distribution service.
For this article titled
Is Myspace the Hottest Social Network?
we elected to use the $2 paid article submission and distribution service through iSnare.com.
The paid service is supposed to distribute your article to over a thousand websites and send your article to over twenty thousand publishers via opt-in emails. Obviously a large proportion of those publishers will not be interested in your article or will not accept your article, so we were not expecting miracles. We have shown below the case study results for this article submission with screenshots from Google, Yahoo and MSN searches for the specific article title enclosed in quotes.
Search Results for Article Submission in Googles Index
Google shows 97 results for the specific article title searched for in quotes. Half the sites seem to look like other article directory sites. But as well as directories the article has been picked up and published by some Myspace Resource related sites (hopefully providing some related back-links and traffic).
Yahoo Search Results for Myspace Article Submission
Yahoo shows a higher instance of the specific article title than Google with 179 search results. Both Yahoo and Google are showing a similar mix of article directories, Myspace related sites, related Blogs and some obviously sp@mmy type sites and blogs that have picked up and republished the article.
Search Results in MSN for Article Submission
Out of the three search engines checked for the article submitted via iSnare MSN’s search index showed the lowest results. Only 33 instances of the specific article title searched for in quotes was found in the MSN search. Although the top result in MSN was for a Myspace related website (with Mypspace related domain name) rather than an article directory site, so MSN is showing results pages that are related to Myspace higher up.
Some direct traffic must have been created from this article as the iSnare publisher account shows that the article has been viewed over 150 times on iSnares website alone. So for the $2 iSnare fee it seems like this article submission should have gained at least 179 back links (according to Yahoo search for the article title). When writing this article we managed to include 3 url based links within the main body of text as well as a url link and anchor text link in the Author Resource box. Upon deeper investigation into where the articles have been republished it seems a small percentage of publishers have removed the Resource Box completely and quite a few strip anchor text based links from the Author box. So having managed to work url links into the main body of the article we still should gain at least a url based link (and maybe some traffic) from dodgy publishers that don’t republish the Author Resource box. Also the sites that have republished the article complete but stripped the anchor text links from the Bio will still have a live link from the url based link that was in the Author Bio box.

Web Wire Press Release Free PDF Results Report
2 Comments Published December 6th, 2010 in Articles, Reviews, marketingPress Releases are a good way to promote a new business startup or worthwhile investing in if you have a truly newsworthy concept. Unlike article submissions the press release is created to target the media and hopefully be picked up as being newsworthy and distributed widely. Therefore a simple article about your subject will not do for a press release submission. A press release typically would announce a new business, highlight an innovative product or service or just contain content that is highly newsworthy.
We have a free PDF download by McRea site development that follows a WebWire.com Press Release submission and the results. Web Wire offers various press release distribution options starting from just $19 for a readership distribution to $95 for a more targetted media distribution of your release. This free download shows the results from a $19 reader distribution at Web Wire and demonstrates the power of the Press Release.

Before you launch your website you should choose a suitable Web hosting company. We have previously discussed the merits of paid hosting services over free web hosts, but you still have a massive choice amongst the various paid hosting service providers. As your online presence grows you start to realise how much having a reliable Web hosting service really matters to your website and ultimately your online business.
There are many hosting companies offering quality services. However, you have to decide what you want from a web host.
Write a short list of the following questions for yourself:
- What is uptime of the web host you choose?
Really, no one hosting company offers you 100% uptime, but 99.9% uptime is possible. - How long has the hosting company been in this business? If that company is in this business only 1-2 years, I would not recommend such young companies to you. I prefer host companies which are placed in the USA or UK.
Trust me, they care for their clients much more and have more powerful tech support than ones in other countries. - What is your website going to do? How many pages will it contain? Will there be graphic pages, dynamic pages or HTML ones only?
- How much storage does your site need?
Actually, don’t purchase less than 200GB storage for your website. - Can the web host work with different programming languages such as Perl, Python, and PHP etc? In other words, what script language support does that hosting company have?
It is really doubtless that marketing gifts have an inborn quality of taking your brand or corporate name to the next level, to the market that is really necessary for your future company’s development. Even more important is that your target audience may use the free gift and they could keep it a for a long time, working as a constant reminder of your company name. There is always a wide choice of promotional items to choose from. And in order to build up a unique, comprehensive and dedicated marketing strategy for promoting your brand you should find the best way to accomplish this through research. By giving out or presenting your customers and co-workers with corporate gifts this has proved the most win-win marketing tactic nowadays.
For example, consider presenting your colleagues with custom imprinted pens. Continue reading ‘Reach more Customers with Promotional Gifts!’
Mailing Lists to Promote your New Business
2 Comments Published January 31st, 2008 in General, marketingThere are several ways to get into business. But the main problem is to find potential customers who are eager to use your services or buy your goods. One of the best solutions of this problem is to send consumer mailing list.
This type of advertising has several advantages. Business mailing lists go directly to your potential consumers who can buy your products or use your services. The second advantage is that you can send with the help of business mailing lists free samples of your goods or additional information about your company. If people have an opportunity to use your product or learn more about your services for free they are more likely to buy them in future. Also mailing lists save you time and energy, because they are created paying attention to the targetted specific interests and tastes of your potentials customers.
So as you can see sending business letters via mailing lists can be one of the best ways to promote your own new start up business.
